Disneyland’s Toontown is now closed as it undergoes a yearlong renovation that will carry in a new trip, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Changes have been underway for months in Downtown Disney, including the recent demolition of the AMC theater, but the organization hadn’t declared the system for the cleared area. Now, we know what it will entail: new restaurants, new shopping, and eco-friendly space for rest outdoors of the parks, with an hooked up stage for entertainment, Disneyland President Ken Potrock introduced in a news meeting on April 27.
